FORMATTING CHANGE
I decided to change to a cleaner blog format, so the site isn't as messy and ill-constructed. If I left the link of your blog off my list, please be sure either post your blog's URL in comments or email it to me!

tack!

you left me off! I quite liked having a link on your page, what do I have to do to get back?

I haven't disappeared from blogging, I was just working too much to get my broken internet connection fixed, but I'm back now! so does my blog get a link again?

I will absolutely put you back on! I only posted the addresses I had written down on paper. I didn't know that when reformatting your blog you lost all your links! Bummer. . .

yeah I switched to Blogger Beta and lost half the information I had added to my template, but thankfully (as I don't trust "beta" things) I had saved a copy to my computer... had to go back and add everything by hand again.

I'm starting to think my format's a bit messy as well...

Sorry Zappy, for the the little Swedish exchange (it's so rare that I find people that write and read Swedish--my grandparents' nationality). I reformatted the blog because I didn't like the look of the old one, and because it was hard to add things like neoearth without it screwing up the borders. When I changed the format, I lost ALL of my links--every damn one of them. Those that I had written down, I could re-enter in the template, but I put out a call to bloggers who visited to give me their blog addresses (since not all of them are on blogspot). I had yours, thank goodness. You were one of the sources that my students used the most in their last papers. You really made an impact. I will write you soon and give you more details. I've been hammered by a "flare." I have Lupus, an autoimmune disease (similar to rheumatoid arthritis), and when the disease gets bad, it's called a "flare."

just a random thing about swedish, there was a fascinating report on the swedish TV4 a couple of months ago about the Bush administration, and one of the journalists responsible for the hour long special-report posted onto the TV4 website asking (in swedish) the swedish government why they were unwilling (or unable) to condemn the US government for actions they would have long since condemned in any other government, and this journalist asked them "are you afraid of bush?" (in swedish, available here on the SVT website if it's still there.

Nadia, of TalkingAboutIraq.blogspot.com, lives in sweden and speaks perfect swedish as well (and loves the opportunity to show off her perfect swedish also) in case you wanted to converse with someone in swedish whose swedish var faktist bra.

Det ar din drom till bor om sverige? Det är inte så roligt hela tiden faktist... the first major snowstorm of the year in stockholm on November 1 turned the streets into sheets of ice and caused the bus service to shut down into and out of and around the city, and most taxi companies cut their service as well, so thousands of commuters were stuck in the city (the hotels did a booming business though).

A beautiful country it is though. And the öl vem heter "mariestaads" småka jattebra faktist, and everyone drinks it. So the next time a student asks, you can claim you're named after sweden's most popular beer!

:)
